CEO and Board Member

Henk Hutting is widely regarded as one of the founding fathers of the modern wind energy industry.

He began his wind energy career in 1982. His primary focus from the outset was on wind farm research and design, expanding to include consultancy and implementation in the 1990's at KEMA NV. Beginning in the early 1990's, Hutting shifted his focus to the design and development of wind farms, joining Mssrs. Van Engelen and Kolader to lead the green field development of alternative energy projects in NuCapital's target markets. The majority of these projects were the first of their kind in the respective countries. In 2003 he became CEO of the successful wind energy development company WinWind.

His experience includes active involvement in all operating wind farms with turbines larger than 250 kW in the Caribbean: two farms on Curaçao and the farm at Jamaica. He performed feasibility studies on Bonaire and Aruba and in Guyana, Colombia and Panama, and is actively involved in the ownership and operation of development initiatives in Holland and Kenya .

Hutting recently completed the green field developments of the 44MW Dutch wind farm, Koegorspolder and the 63MW Dutch wind farm, Eemshaven, which was commissioned at year-end 2007. He is currently CEO of Hutting Windenergie B.V., Growind B.V. and Lake Turkana Wind Power Ltd. · Hutting holds a Masters Degree in Physics from the University of Twente, The Netherlands. He currently resides in the Netherlands .
